Regardless of whether you are employed, unemployed, or self-employed, you can head to the nearest Pag-IBIG branch and apply for your number and ID. What are the requirements to get a Pag-IBIG membership?

For employees who are about to start working for a private sector company, you need to secure the following documents:

  • Any valid ID – it can be your UMID, passport, postal ID, voter’s certification, or any proof of identification.
  • Your birth certificate – almost all government programs require you to bring your birth certificate authenticated by NSO or PSA. You might as well bring this with you in case the staff look for it.
  • Completely filled out an application form.
  • 2 pcs of 1×1 picture

For self-employed, bring these with you:

  • Latest ITR attached to your Financial Statements certified by CPA from the previous year.
  • Business/Mayor’s Permit
  • DTI or SEC registration documents under your name
  • 2 pcs of 1×1 picture

For self-employed professionals, here are your requirements:

  • PRC ID or BAR License
  • Latest ITR from last year
  • 2 pcs of 1×1 picture

How to Become a Pag-IBIG Member

  • Secure all the required documents listed above.
  • Go to the nearest Pag-IBIG branch in your area and submit the documents together with two copies of MDF forms which you can get online or from the branch itself. All documents must be submitted for the authentication process. Here’s the list of some pag-Ibig branches in Cebu you can refer to:

Benefits of Getting Your Pag-IBIG Membership

  • You can turn your contributions into assets after 240 contributions or 20 years of paying.
  • You can avail of housing loans, calamity loans, and other loans offered by Pag-Ibig after 24 months of paying the premium.
  • You can avail of multiple housing loans.
  • You can obtain your Pag-Ibig Fund Loyalty Card which is can be used to get discounts from different stores in Cebu and other regions of the country.
