1. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR A PHILIPPINE PASSPORT?

A: The regular processing of a passport application takes about 15 to 20 working days.

A: Yes, the DFA offers expedited processing for those with urgent needs. This type of application will take about 6 working days for NCR applicants and 7 working days for applicants outside NCR. The fee for expedited processing is higher than the fee for regular processing which is P1200.00.

A: All applicants must personally claim their passports from the DFA office where they applied.

8. WHAT IF I LOST MY VALID PASSPORT?

A: Any person who has lost their valid passport must first file and report their lost valid passport application at the Consular Office of your choice. You will be required to submit a police report and Affidavit of Loss and pay a penalty fee. After processing, there will be 15 days waiting period before you can apply for the processing of an application for the replacement of a lost valid passport.

9. WHAT IF I LOST MY EXPIRED PASSPORT?

A: If an applicant has lost an expired passport, the replacement process is the same as applying for a new one. The only difference is that they must submit an Affidavit of Loss for the expired passport, apart from submitting all other requirements for a new one.

10. WHAT IF MY PASSPORT IS DAMAGED?

A: If your passport is damaged, You must submit an Affidavit of Mutilation for the damaged passport and all other requirements for a new one. There is also a penalty fee for a Mutilated ePassport which is Php 350.00.
