BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) has recently posted an advisory warning everyone against people selling TIN cards or application of TIN. The TIN (Tax Identification Number) is a 9-digit number which is assigned to a taxpayer by the BIR for tracking, identification and keeping of records. Businesses and individual persons apply for a BIR TIN in order to pay their taxes and be responsible citizens.

Recently, the BIR on their official Facebook Page has posted a warning regarding persons and online pages that are selling TIN cards. Be advised that selling of TIN is illegal! TIN cards are NOT for sale.

ADVISORY: TIN cards are not for sale and are only issued/released by the BIR. Selling of TIN cards online is illegal!
Ang publiko ay binabalaan hinggil sa naka-post sa Facebook na nag-aalok ng serbisyo sa pagkuha ng TIN at TIN card. Para sa kaalaman ng lahat, ito po ay hindi awtorisado at hindi pinapayagan ng BIR. Huwag tangkilikin ang mga ilegal na transaksyong ito sa social media sapagkat ito ay ipinagbabawal ng batas. Ang sinumang mahuhuling gumagawa nito ay papatawan ng kaukulang parusa na naaayon sa ating batas.
Ang TIN card ay hindi ipinagbibili. Ito po ay maaari lamang i-isyu o ipagkaloob ng BIR.
