The DSWD launched a program before the start of the school year to assist low-income families in sending their children to school. The AICS Educational Assistance Program, which will last six weeks, will provide financial aid to families. In DSWD Field Office 10, you have to process it through an online registration QR code link.
Region 10 students (Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, and Camiguin) may learn more about this procedure in the sections below. In August and September, beneficiaries could earn anything from P1,000 to P4,000. Members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), on the other hand, are not eligible for this cash assistance.
Still, some of the 4Ps have already gotten money to help them. Before, the DSWD asked 4Ps members who got cash aid to give it back. Even though this was the case, no one answered the request.
The news has gotten somewhat controversial since it was first published, as a result of how the administration addressed the issue. Despite this, the department is continuing to aid those who require and qualify for financial assistance.
What exactly is the AICS Educational Assistance Program?
The AICS program, an abbreviation for “Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations,” provided by DWSD, helps those who need it with food, medicine, transportation costs, and other essentials. The rules of this program will be further discussed below. This guide will teach you more about who is eligible for the program and how it works.
The Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) – Educational Assistance Program, often referred to as the AICS, is a financial aid program for students who are in dire need. This money can be used to cover school fees, textbooks, supplies, projects, allowances, and other related expenses. Because there is only so much money available, the DSWD has prioritized assisting “students in crisis.”
